In a world full of heart-tugging causes, it can be a real challenge to get attention for the needs of gifted individuals. After all, a gifted child looks just like any other healthy child.
The constant misunderstandings gifted kids and adults have to deal with in the "real world" is heartbreaking at times. A great amount of talent is lost, many gifted individuals suffer emotionally, and all too many are misdiagnosed as ADHD or other disorders.
