There is a great need for mental health professionals who have expertise working with the gifted. SENG receives calls and emails daily from individuals seeking these professionals.
SENG offers continuing education programs to mental health professionals and others who are interested in learning more about the social and emotional needs of gifted individuals. We offer programming through home-study courses, webinars, and workshops at our annual conference. SENG Professional Members are eligible for discounts on our CE home-study courses and our annual conference registration (not for specific conference workshops).
Mental health professionals who have successfully completed at least four SENG Continuing Education Programs or significant other professional training in serving the gifted population, and are current SENG Professional Members are eligible to be listed on our Recognized Professionals page. Learn more about this program and apply to be included by completing the Recognized Professionals Application Form. This recognized professionals page will enable individuals to locate mental health professionals with an interest in gifted issues and provide you with the ability to advertise your services.
Each state has different requirements for licensure. A summary of those requirements can be found in the Handbook of Licensing and Certification Requirements for Psychologists in the U.S. and Canada, which is published by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB).
