Mental Health Professional of the Year
Counselors, therapists, and licensed psychologists are tireless champions in ensuring the healthy development and direction of gifted, talented, and 2e people. The Mental Health Professional of the Year goes above and beyond their career to ensure a higher quality of life for our GT/2E population.
2018 Honoree: Dr. Dan Peters
SMPG Facilitator of the Year
SENG Model Parent Groups (SMPG) are an oasis for parents in their local communities. The glue that binds them together and continually provides resources, ideas, and dynamic communication for parents are the SMPG Facilitators. They carry forth the SENG values to their local community, create a support network with their local parents, and help them build stronger relationships with their GT/2E kids.
2018 Honoree: Adriane Ransom (on right)
Educator of the Year
Educators spend an incredible amount of time ensuring GT/2E kids are continuously interested, engaged, and striving to learn new things to feed their seemingly endless curiosity. Educators also spend the most time observing and coaching students as they develop socially and emotionally. This award is for the exceptional educator who is dedicated to developing the whole child year-round.
