I teach at Barry Goldwater HS in Glendale, AZ. I've taught science courses for 7 years, including Biology, freshman students, and DP Biology, junior and senior students. BGHS is MYP certified and DP certified, which encourages developing habits of mind. I've been very fortunate to be part of a program that directly and explicitly teaches thinking skills and how to monitor thinking skills. The program has allowed students to thrive in ways not available in traditional settings. In addition to teaching, I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with my family.
