About
Currently, I am entering my 6th year as a Gifted Supervisor at a county Educational Service Center in Ohio. Within this role, I have the privilege of working with administrators, teachers, parents, and students in an effort to enlighten minds regarding the social, emotional, and educational needs of gifted learners. I am active within 5 school districts, providing guidance and professional development to educators and parents, and orchestrating events through our Gifted Department which enrich student learning through events such as Mock Trial, math-related challenges, and STEAM competitions.
Prior to my tenure at the Educational Service Center, I had been an educator for 25 years within a variety of settings, from a middle school (grade 6) self-contained gifted classroom, to grades 3-5 elementary gifted resource room, to general education grades 3-8, all within parochial and public school settings.
In addition to my career within the educational field, I am the proud mother of a now-adult 2e daughter! I'm looking forward to meeting other professionals within the field of gifted education, as well as connecting with parents of 2e children. Within the not-too-distant future, I hope to become a certified SENG facilitator, so that I can continue to network and assist others throughout this wonderful journey within the gifted world.
