As a private therapist at Acorn & Anchor Therapy Centre, I specialize in work with those aged 5 to 19, and I provide support and service to parents as well. My work is primarily with kids and teens who present with qualities of giftedness and 2e (twice exceptional), asynchronous development, intense emotional responses, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, issues with self-identity and feelings of low self-worth.

I aim to help kids and teens to learn new skills to manage their responses to stress, anxiety, and fears. They will also be able to speak openly and understand their intensities, which helps to improve self-esteem, self-worth, peer and family relationships, school or social issues, unresolved trauma, and anxious thoughts.

I have worked with children, youth and families, using a relational, integrated approach, for over 25 years and I provide client focused  psychotherapy through evidence-based approaches such as: Neurobiology, IFS, sensory integration, art and play approaches, CBT, and others.

I provide both in-person and online one-on-one video therapy. I have training and experience in online therapy and use a private, safe platform for all sessions. I am a member of  OASW, OCSWSSW, SENG (Supporting the Emotional Needs of Gifted) and ABC Ontario (Association of Bright Children).

I also supervise interns/students from the University of Toronto's MSW program at the centre. Please ask me about reduced fee sessions with a student for November 2020!
