About The Event

This webinar will review many key factors and   variable of importance in the intellectual and social and emotional development of gifted students. It will review the need for parents to become involved in the enrichment of their children thru independent reading, museums, the Internet and community activities. 

This presentation will briefly discuss how independent reading, and outside activities will contribute to a well- adjusted, well rounded child by assisting them to look at life philosophically and assist them to examine books, and educational sites on the Internet in depth to assist them in their development.  

About the Presenter:

Michael F. Shaughnessy is currently Editor in Chief of   Gifted Education International and has served as Editor of Creative Child and   Adult Quarterly and has served as Editor in the past of SENG (Supporting the   Emotional Needs of Gifted). He is currently Full Professor at Eastern New   Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico.
