About The Event

Gifted individuals are subject to unique concerns when it   comes to making friends. This webinar will describe the research on peer   relations that has particular application to gifted individuals. Participants   will be introduced to a model of friendship development based on this   research, along with strategies to strengthen social skills.

About the Presenters:

Tracy L. Cross is Executive Director of the William &   Mary Center for Gifted Education, where Jennifer Riedl Cross is the Director   of Research. Tracy is President Emeritus of two national organizations (NAGC   and CEC-TAG) and has published hundreds of articles and book chapters, and 14   books in gifted education. His specialization is the psychology of gifted   students. 

Jennifer holds a doctorate in educational psychology with a   specialty in cognitive and social processes. She and Tracy co-edited the Handbook   for Counselors Serving Students with Gifts and Talents, now in its second   edition. Together, they are editors of the new SENG Journal.
